Posted by And so comes an end to a week off. A week I needed to reset mentally. Did it work? Not really. I feel more mentally exhausted now than I did a week ago. Perfect.
I don’t have anything to ramble about today. Instead, I’m going to do a quick fire question round from a random question generator.
What famous artist, dead or alive, would you want to paint your portrait?
I’m a fairly creative person. However, I don’t really appreciate the art done by famous artists. I’ve studied a lot of it in school / college / university. And yeah there’s interesting artist techniques etc. But do you know whose painting I would appreciate more? The OddDaughter’s. I love when she draws me. Particularly with my big head, small limbs, and huge growly smile. And then I wonder why she fears monsters if this is how she sees her own dad…
Last thing you bought?
Erm… A kebab. After yesterday’s blog I decided to try a kebab and whisky to fight off any potential lurgy heading my way. And you know what? I’m feeling better today. If not a little bloated. The wonders of junk food and alcohol. Ignore your doctors, kids, The OddFather has the answers.
What is the funniest movie you have ever seen?
I don’t think I can really say there is a funniest movie I’ve ever seen. There’s a hell of a lot of funny movies out there. And they’re funny in different ways. But one of the earliest films I’ve seen which I found hilarious was Airplane. It’s so silly, yet so quotable. Genius.
If you don’t know the words to a song do you improvise?
Hell yeah, I improvise! In fact, most times I just make up the words to songs even if I know what the actual words are. As I’m cooking and the OddDaughter is playing I’m usually singing along to random songs but changing the words. Anyone that enjoys music would hate me for it. And the best thing? The OddDaughter is starting to follow suit. I’ve heard her make up words to songs and it’s hilarious!
What fashion trend do you wish would come back?
Bootcut jeans for men. Now, I’m not saying I particularly want this trend back. But I had a whole bunch of bootcut jeans available in lots of different colours. They went out of style, and so I gave them to charity – some in almost new condition. And now I’ve seen they’re creeping back into style again… So I’ll have to update all my jeans again. Although, I think they make jeans a lot tighter than they used to… particularly around the waist. Ahem ahem.
Which Disney princess do you find to be the most attractive?
This is a very awkward question. I mean, I watch these movies with the OddDaughter. I don’t want to start seeing these princesses in a different light. Is it not like finding your (Older) daughter’s friends attractive… I’m overthinking this aren’t I?
